Two Types of Pumps

  • Air Source Heat Pump

    An air source heat pump (ASHP) functions by transferringthe heat from the outside air into a building as either hot air, hot water in a radiator or underfloor heating circuit, or into a domestic hot water supply.A standard domestic heat pump will provide heat efficiently even when the outside temperature is as low as −15°C.

  • Ground Source Heat Pump

    Ground source heat pumps (GSHP) extract the heat from underground rather than from the air outside. The temperature at around 7 meters below the surface of the ground remains at a steady temperature depending on your location. This means that the GSHP continues to work as efficiently during the winter as at any other time of year.
